One thing I noticed is that your rule is looking for a .php at the end
so the above url will not match.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^show/(.*)/(.*)/(.*).php
/show.php?category=Beginners%20Corner&sid=$2&id=$3
I don't remember for sure, but do you need an [L] at the end of the
second line?
