Compiling PHP with Oracle

Hi,
I'm trying to build PHP 4.0 with Oracle 8.1.6 as a dynamic apache module,
and I get a file named libphp4.so. But when I add the line
"LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so and I restart apache, when I
prompt:
./httpd status
It says:
httpd dead but subsys locked.
If I build PHP 4.0 without Oracle it works fine. Anyone could help me ?
My configuration is:
Red Hat 6.1
Apache 1.3.6
PHP 4.0.1pl2
Oracle 8.1.6 Enterprise Edition
