Hear, hear. I'm sure we could come up with a list of the most
persistent
FAQs, such as:
"How do I have alternate rows of a table different colors?"
"How do I write a regex to do blah?"
[These were the two last thread subjects, along with the JS/PHP one]
"How do I get search engines to index my dynamically-generated
site?"
"How do I steal someone's e-mail address?"
And so on.
Sending it on-signup is better than daily posting, because firstly not
everyone needs to see it every day, and secondly newbies won't wait a
whole day to find out. They can't even be bothered to RTFM.

May I compliment the true list veterans for being so extremely patient.
The general atmosphere is very tolerant of novices (including me), and
it really does speak volumes. But speaking of volumes, the volume of
stuff on this list is getting way big, too, and sometimes unneccessarily.
