Returning only a row count of 1?

I have 6 records in this table but using this code; $querytotalcount = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CF_Survey"; $resulttotalcount = mssql_query($querytotalcount) or die("Can not execute query $insert_query. "); $totalrows = mssql_num_rows($resulttotalcount); I only return a count of 1. Am I missing something?
