What does this output?

$link = mysql_connect("localhost", "mysql_user", "mysql_password")
or die("Could not connect: " . mysql_error());
echo "Connected successfully";
mysql_close($link);
?>
And don't just remove the "user" and "password" parts, fill them in.
If there is no password, put "".
