I had this same problem, as I wanted to resolve whether or not the device was a PDA. I couldn't see an easy way, but what I did was to have a dummy JavaScript page that grabs the screen dimensions, and then forwards on to a PHP page, with the screen size as the parameter. Something like: http://www.example.com/page2.php?width=800&height=600 Then you've got your details! I know of the one in JavaScript, however I want to pick it up in PHP....
