Hi there,
My platform is RedHat 7.0 along with mysql 3.23.22beta
and php 4.0.1
I did the following to chage root password of mysql:
#mysqladmin -p password newpassword
After that, I have no problem running mysql
command(e.g. #mysql -p) using the new password.
However, my php script (new password as argument to
mysql_connect function) got error:
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Access denied for
user: 'root@myhost' (Using password: YES)
Once I pass the old password as argument to
mysql_connect, the php script runs fine.
Could anybody help me out with this??
K
