Yes, sessions by default are setup to tell the browser not to cache the page. You can edit the PHP.ini file to set session.cache = private; (It's something like that, you'll find it if you look.) The only downfall to this is that a lot of the pages will be cached and the user may not always see the most current version of pages when he clicks on <a> links. To get around that, you can fool the browser by sending different parameters to pages, such as a ?_noCache=<?random_number?>. There's pros and cons for allowing the browser to cache a page, and use whatever system works best for you. On a live Internet site, it's usually best to let the browser's cache the page because people are used to hitting their back button. If you have any further questions, you can email me privately and I'll be glad to assist. -- Matthew Leverton - matthew@aeroinc.net - http://www.allegro.cc -----Original Message----- From: Alan Morey <alan@caint.com> To: php-general@lists.php.net <php-general@lists.php.net> Date: Wednesday, June 14, 2000 11:16 AM Subject: [PHP-GENERAL] Session affecting my forms?? >I have a Session started when filling out a form if i hae an error and need >to go back to correct it the values on the form aren't there.
