Yes, that's what I do (I used the binary distro, but not RPMs). I have mysql
installed completely in one dir: /usr/local/mysql.
However, from some info, I gathered that when you specify
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql (I will refer to the location as $MYSQLDIR)
then php will look for $MYSQLDIR/include/mysql
Do I then create links in $MYSQLDIR/include/mysql -> $MYSQLDIR/include ?
What about libs?
All these weird behavior is not documented and I am left to wonder what PHP is
looking for and what is the right location.
