but otherwise, if there is no error_log at all, i guess this is a problem of the mailserver, or windows, dont know. but without an error than dr.watson its hard to find a solution. have you enabled your debugging in windows? i can remember somewhere to start the system-log-daemon and watch the syslog for messages. maybe this error gives you a hint where to look for the problem .... maybe check your logfiles carefully, compile php with --enable-debug enabled and in high debugmode. sorry cant help here.

Concerning the server he lacks performance thats true but that's just why i have to work on it we are migrating to exchange server.. i dont know if exchange needs less performance ;)

The other part of the problem comes out of the server usage that is quitte high. When i run the code on a small mbx i got no problems at all but when i try this on a hughe mailbox Dr watson comes up with an error and page processing is aborded. I set many "or die("");" statements but none of my die messages are returned on error. update your imap server? (which one? which version? which platform?) or: install a new more stable imap server , use a more stable os with better io and memory handling (like freebsd, linux, solaris) , upgrade your server to perform well (scsi, memory, proc) what php version do you use? what os do you use? what is your webserver? what are the versions? installed libraries? config? does php got enough time to render the mails? ;) greetings volker
