Try DocBook <http://www.docbook.org/>. This is what the PHP Manual is written in. You write your document in an XML (or SGML) vocabulary, and using some freely available tools you can transform it into HTML, XHTML, CHM, PDF and much more.

Hey, Any recommendations on how to make a help document similar to the .chm file that php.net gives in its downloadable version of the php manual? One with references to other parts of the help document would be great but right now am willing to settle for one that does just the basic thing. Thanks, Ryan
