I just got PHP 4.02 installed and I have been running into a strange
problem. I seem to be having either PHP or Apache (haven't tracked down
which one exactly yet, but my guess is Apache) return an error: '[notice]
child pid xxxx exit signal Segmentation fault(11)' when accessing pages that
require/include multiple files (the error is written to the httpd log file).
If I remark out the require/include and paste the code directly into the
called page everything works fine. I even get the error if the included file
has all code remarked out - it is just the act of 'including' the file that
causes the problem.
For example:
<?PHP
require('opendb.php3');
require('authenticate.php3');
require('dbobject.php3');
?>
Will cause the error.
If I remark out the second line (require('authenticate.php3')), and paste
it's included code into my page, the page works fine.
I also verified that it is not the authenticate.php3 script itself as the
page will die 'including' any other files also - even one with just remarks
in it.
