short tag is <? instead of <?php at the begining of your PHP code. Use of the short form can be disabled in PHP.INI, if you use it, try to replace it with <?php and check whether your code works. The other problem could be that the ISP isn't mapping the extension you use in the filenames to PHP (some people are using .php3, some .phtml, some are parsing everything with .html extension). The best solution if you don't want to waste your time trying it yourself is to ask admin of the machine in question. Just by the way - if the server doesn't parse your files you can't get any phpinfo() output. ----- Original Message ----- From: "bryan brown" <donmon_98@yahoo.com> To: "php" <php-general@lists.php.net> Sent: Thursday, October 05, 2000 4:21 PM Subject: Re: [PHP] different output fom 2 servers > I ftp all the files to my server (I use an ISP).
