I'm pleased to announce the first public release of php_imlib, an
extension for PHP 4 that makes the Imlib2 image manipulation library
available from within PHP scripts.
Presently, the extension does not implement the full Imlib2 API, however
image loading/saving, scaling, cropping, and text drawing are there. All
the typical image formats are supported: gif, jpeg, png, etc. The main
part of Imlib2 that isn't currently implemented is the drawing routines,
which are next on the list.
