:-( nope, didnt work..
the program that has done the creating is on the server, not in a browser
(kinda like CGI). Its part of a system I have constructed to allow use of
HTML templates for displaying dynamic content... here is the code htat does
he work...
(note: the templates use a tilde "~" each side of a value that is to be
stripped....)
I stored the incoming data in $vardump array...
$pgarray = file("$displaytemplate"); // this is the var that holds the
template location
$temp = join("`", $pgarray);
while (list ($key, $value) = each ($vardump)) {
$key = "~$key~";
$temp = ereg_replace($key, $value, $temp);
}
$newvar = explode("`",$temp);
$plen = count($newvar);
for ($a=0; $a<$plen; $a++) {
echo "$newvar[$a]\n";
}
but this loses session connectivity....
[snip].....
