breadcrumb app...

hi... has anybody seen a reasonably good/basic breadcrumb app that works... new pages are displayed to the user based upon the user's menu selection... i'd like to be able to provide a trail at the top of the page, kind of like.. home -> food -> fruit -> squash were the user could then select one of the links of the trail, which would take the user to the earlier page... searching google results in hundreds of results, but i'm not sure which examples are good/poor!! thanks -bruce
