installing 4.3.x and 5.x

Hello,
Is it possible to build php-4.3.x and php-5.0.0RC3 both as static
modules into apache-1.3? If so, can the two version of php be installed
in the same prefix? or should they be installed in /usr/local/php4
and /usr/local/php5?
