fopen problem

Hello, I've read the fopen message thread, but I have an other problem that I cannot manage to solve. Here is my config: PHP3.0.8, Apache 1.3.12, Solaris 2.5. PHP is compile as an Apaache module. Try again later or contact the server's administrator" When I check the web server log file both the script and the target file have been correctly accessed: Code 200 ! Does any one as a clue ?
