upload_tmp_dir Not Working

In my .htaccess file I have... php_value upload_tmp_dir /home/site/temp But when I upload a file using a form, here's what the $_FILE array prints out: [tmp_name] => /temp/phpvRRDss /temp is a valid directory, but, it's not the directory I specified in the .htaccess file for this site. So, obviously PHP is not using my temp directory, or it's not reporting the proper temp directory in the $_FILES array. I also tried adding this to my httpd.conf file within the site's VirtualHost directives, but, that didn't work either (yes, I restarted Apache first). Anyone have any insight on this?? Thanks! - Monty
