$HTTP_HOST . $REQUEST_URI will give as close to the complete URL as you
can come. It'll include the host, port, filename, and GET-mode
parameters.
Create a file with <?php phpinfo() ?> in it and load it up. Read over the
'Apache Environment' setting for complete information on what sort of info
is available.
