I had the same problem -- session_destroy() did not work. I could not get it
to work, even by specifying the garbage collection probability as 100%.
So I implemented my own session scheme using a MySQL database and a few
classes myself -- from scratch. My advice: Don't use PHP4 sessions if you
need to use session_destroy() to kill them.

I have a cart I am working on and it works excellent, except I can not get
the session to end.
