greetings all-
i just joined the php mailing list (hey, it's a lot of email! :) and am
realizing how 'knowledgeable' people are here and professional,
experienced and sometimes even helpful ;)
for me it's time to buckle down and do real research, no more messing
around. i am saying "hello" to everyone ! my name is philip olson and i
want to learn php (and related topics). i desire the tools to implement
all the world dominating ideas that cross through my brain (both sides) ,
and require tools to do this. don't worry, all ideas are generally safe
and useful (usually at least). i lack any CS background and have
a *stubborn* brain , am ready and willing to work on patience
, self-control and focus. i have :
- a basic understandsing of sql and php, generally speaking.
- experience getting around *nix
- know what's possible / feasible
- make good educated guesses how to implement, but not optimally
- little experience in really doing it, full force.
- love thinking of ideas and have many to offer
- enjoy 'starting' work on them.
- weakness : finishing the job.
what are the "secrets" to finishing and seeing projects through? this
is key to many things me thinks. ahem, rather then dig deeper in my
psyche let's just say this, i have ample room for improvement and will
learn or die trying. and, i really love superfoods odwalla and wish a
fountain of it lived in my room!
in the future you may come across rambling ideas, strange questions and
who knows what else but keep in mind, i love all of you :-)
warm regards,
philip olson
p.s. so hopefully that explains my situation a little, i love to hear and
give feedback on anything, however silly. and am blunt and honest in most
facets of life.
