links extract from a string

Hi all i m doing a project in which i m displaying the statistics of clickcounts of links send thru a message. For that i have to extract the links from the message string given by user. So pls tell me how to get the url/links from a string (or) To track clicks of all outgoing links embedded in the message string Thanks Syed
