The version of PHP you're running on the command-line may or may not be the same installation as the one used by Apache. Use the following to see what your CLI installation does or does not have enabled:
    php -r "phpinfo();"
shell>$php -r "phpinfo();" | grep ftp
Registered PHP Streams => php, http, ftp, compress.zlib shell>$ I looked at the complete output and did not see that anything else for FTP. What do I need to do add FTP support for the CLI?
