However, these would be pseudo-immediate. A way I use to achieve this kind of action (for a different system though), is by making a cronjob which calls a script quite often (eg. every 5 min). Add a quick check at the top if it has recieved any new mails, if not, quickly exit, otherwise process them and then auto-respond.
