No, the user(admin) does not enter any word at all - search is the wrong word to use. It's more of an internal query that goes through the day's database input, counts all the words inputed within a certain date/time, and then generates a list of the top words inputed into the database after filtering out common words like it, and, etc. - Thanks, ian ----- Original Message ----- From: Rebecca <rebecca@digitalpulp.com> To: Ian Gan <woktoc@pd.jaring.my> Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2000 6:30 AM Subject: Re: [PHP] counting number of instances of a word can we get more information? are the users limited to certain words or can they just randomly enter any words? do you want to count certain words or all words? etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ian Gan" <woktoc@pd.jaring.my> To: <php-general@lists.php.net> Sent: Friday, October 13, 2000 12:04 AM Subject: [PHP] counting number of instances of a word > Hi List, i'm trying to get the count of words in a database via a php search > form - for example, i > want to know the word(s) that was most inputed into a database during the > day - the query should show me e.g. top word: fish 450 instances. > > How?
