And this is not meant to be argumentative or negative, just trying to set the record straight. Using ColdFusion you can write output to the screen and still redirect afterwards. You can write output to the screen, then update a few cookies, change some session variables and still redirect afterwards. Of course CF is also a double pass process so it re-orders everything before handing everything off to the web server, but as far as development goes, you can do these types of things (redirects, cookies, sessions) any time throughout your script. In fact, if you wanted to be real picky, even HTML itself will allow for a redirect after output has been displayed on screen.
