Email From problem...

I am setting up an email server on a linux box for my dept and am
using php for some testing. When I send out emails, they come from
nobody@myserver.com. Even if I specify the From address, it still
comes from nobody@myserver.com.
Can anyone give me any tips on what I can do to fix this? Is this a
php problem or sendmail?
