Matt,
PHPLIB has some very cool stuff. If you only have PHP3 and need sessions
(say, for a shopping cart), then it's exactly what you want. It has
authentication and privileges built in which makes it particularly useful
for my stuff. Plus some handy HTML widgets like Template, Table, and
Tree.
The trouble is that none of this has been upgraded to the
PHP4-native-sessions stuff, so what used to be cool is now a little bit
obsolete. I am hoping and praying that PHPLIB 8 integrating
native sessions comes out some day. If I had the time at all, I'd join
the CVS tree.
They also have their own list: phplib@lists.netuse.de
As for forum, phorum (www.phorum.org) is supposedly good.
