Matthew - I now realize that I ask the wrong question. What I actually want to do is create the URL *except* the name of the script. For instance, the URL is http://210.214.172.137/test/php/Welcome.php Is the URL stored by PHP? Then I can use what you sent to remove the Welcome.php.
