I wonder why the CLI version of PHP doesn't consult environment variables to override some default settings. This mechanism is used by all the other interpreters that I use (e.g.: perl with PERLLIB/etc, python with PYTHONHOME/PYTHONPATH/etc, ruby with RUBYOPT/RUBYLIB/RUBYPATH/etc). PS: I am aware of -c. It would be nice to have something like PHP_INI_PATH/PHP_INI_DIR/PHP_INI_NAME though... Regards, dave
