Hi all, Sorry about the duplicate post. My fingers are slippery tonight and send the message before I had completed it! I have untarred and unzipped apache and php 4. Apache has been made and tested. Then switched to and did "make" and "make install" of php. Then went back to /usr/local/apache_1.3.14 and ./configure --prefix=../apache \ --install-module=src/module/php4/libmodphp4.a then I ran "make" went fine to: gcc -c -I../../os/unix -I../../include -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I../../lib/expat-lite -DNO_DL_NEEDED ../../apaci mod_auth.c gcc -c -I../../os/unix -I../../include -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I../../lib/expat-lite -DNO_DL_NEEDED ../../apaci mod_setenvif.c rm -f libstandard.a ar cr libstandard.a mod_env.o mod_log_config.o mod_mime.o mod_negotiation.o mod_status.o mod_include.o mod_autoindex.o mod_dir.o mod_cgi.o mod_asis.o mod_imap.o mod_actions.o mod_userdir.o mod_alias.o mod_access.o mod_auth.o mod_setenvif.o ranlib libstandard.a <=== src/modules/standard ===> src/modules/php4 gcc -c -I../../os/unix -I../../include -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I../../lib/expat-lite -DNO_DL_NEEDED ../../apaci mod_php4.c make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/apache_1.3.14/src' make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/apache_1.3.14' AND THEN ERRORS: mod_php4.c:28: zend.h: No such file or directory mod_php4.c:29: php.h: No such file or directory etc. Not being a programmer and knowing just enough about Makefiles to keep my hands off of them, where should I start looking for a cure to my problem. The setup is stock RH 6.2 PHP and Apache downloaded as tarballs. Thanks, Bob Hartung
