Hi everyone,
I just tried to install Apache 1.3.14 with PHP 4.0.3 and 4.0.3 pl1.
(I am upgrading from Apache 1.3.14/PHP 4.0.1 pl1). I liked the PHP-module
statically into the http daemon.
When I start up the new Apache with the default php.ini
(php.ini-dist), all php-pages time out, i.e. exceed the maximum amout
of CPU time. This does not happen if register_globals in php.ini is
turned "Off". The old daemon does not exhibit this problem.
I have no idea what could cause this problem. I am using the same
configure options for both Apache and PHP as in the 1.3.14/4.0.1pl1.
I also use the same httpd.conf for Apache (except for some paths which
refelct the version daemon's number and were changed accordingly.)
Could anyone confirm or deny this behavoiur? I could not find
anything in the documentation or the mailing list archives, for both
Apache and PHP.
In case I missed something, I'd appreciate a pointer to the relevant
information.
Thanks in advance -- Stephan
