Are you SURE this is IE?
Because *my* IE lets me post hundreds of kilobytes. I made a form with a
textarea,
pasted 120Kb in it, and posted it to a PHP script - and got it all.
It looks to me you have a mysql packetsize limit (if you're using mysql)
And a way to bypass input forms is using the php file-upload functionality.
See the manual
for more details on that one. (You get a 'select file' box where you can
pick a file from your
HD that then gets uploaded to the server with the php script)
