Hi all,
I am hesitant to ask this to the list but have been having difficulty
finding the answer. (it certainly isn't in the manual!)
I am going to setup a server running Linux and use php to get data from an
antiquated Database for which we have windows ODBC drivers. Unfortunately
updating the database is not an option.
That being said, there is no way to directly specify which machine the dsn
points to, is there? I believe that a third party product like openlink sw
would be needed but I am looking for a few pointed directions.
An alternative solution, running an NT server with apache/php has already
been identified but is a remote possibility. I am trying to avoid that for
cost considerations.
Anybody out there know what I need to know. I know others have been asking
these types of questions and I apologize for not having found the answers
already.
Cheers,
Craig
