PHP4.03PL1 INSTALLATION

i downloaded latest version of php v4.0.3pl1 then i did configure --with-apxs it gave me this error ./configure: apxs: command not found configure: error: Sorry, I cannot run apxs. Either you need to install Perl or you need to pass the absolute path of apxs by using --with-apxs=/absolute/path/to/apxso i did ./configure --with-apx=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs it went through fine, except that for some reason php was thinking that my apxs script is broken and suggest me to visit http://www.php.net/FAQ.php#6.11 and make all those changes in 3 lines i did i did configure again and it went through fine without any errors then i did make and make install i restated my apache in logs/error_log it says [Tue Oct 17 15:04:03 2000] [notice] Apache/1.3.14 (Unix) PHP/4.0.3pl1 mod_perl/1.24 mod_ssl/2.7.1 OpenSSL/0.9.6 configured -- resuming normal operations and every time i'm trying to access my webservre logs/error_log gives me this and i can't see no webpage [Tue Oct 17 15:04:24 2000] [notice] child pid 9503 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
