I was just speaking with someone the other day at Chrysler and
he stated that they use something called wvHtml (and some other program
which I forget the name of) in many instances to create HTML from MS
Word docs. Yes, MS has 'save as HTML', but it's pretty much bloated crap.
So, even tho Chrysler has paid $$$ for MS stuff, the tech people behind the
scenes use open source to actually DO stuff. Not saying that
people don't use DW, but it kinda opened my eyes a little to realize
that even in large companies where millions are spent on this stuff,
people often fall back to open source because it (1) really works and (2)
solves a real problem.
