Hi everyone,
I am using the static php 4.0.3pl1 module with Apache 1.3.14 on a
Linux box (Debian 2.2).
When I try to execute an open("http://some-cgi-script/") call, I get
an error message in my log file which tells me that the http-daemon
executing my request died with a segmentation fault (sig 11).
Curiously, the same php-page works just find with Apache 1.3.12 and
php 4.0.1pl2.
I could not find anything about this in the release notes or in the
list archives, other than the fact that signal 11 may inidcate a
hardware (memory-chip) problem. I don't believe in the hardware
problem since the older php release works just find and I have not had
any problems compiling other software, e.g. the Linux kernel, which is
prone to produce the sig 11 problem.
Does anyone have any idea what may cause this problem?
I don't know what other information I may need to supply, so please
ask for more.
TIA -- Stephan
