Hi,
I'm in trouble using variables written directly on the request url by the
client ...
I mean: I'm trying to implement on my web space in hosting (php 3.0.16 as
cgi + apache on *nix box) a simply method to pass variables using
mod_rewrite with url like this: http://myhost/var1/var2/etc/index.php3 ...
The problem is that I've not idea how to get the piece of request uri
between http://myhost and index.php3 (/var1/var2/etc/) because I
don't see
nothing that I could use (on my local box I use REQUEST_URI) ...
I've tryed to printout a phpinfo() calling
http://myhost/var1/var2/etc/index.php3, but
nothing seems available ... e.g.
REDIRECT_URL /index.php3
SCRIPT_FILENAME /www/myhost/cgi-bin/php
SCRIPT_NAME /cgi-bin/php
PATH_INFO /index.php3
PATH_TRANSLATED /www/myhost/index.php3
Any suggestion or ideas are very welcome.
Many thanks in advance.
