I have a MSSQL DB running, utilizing PHP to bring DB content to a website
and from the website to write data to the DB.
Here is my problem.
I have a particular field that from the website will write/update a field
on the DB.
I need to allow PHP to write all characters including ', ", ` as part of
an entry in this particular field in the DB.
How would I write my query/statement to allow these characters to be
recognize as a regular character (much like a regular letter entry)? and
be written to my DB.
In other words...
$write-to-myDB = "INSERT INTO FIELD1 (CustID, Company, Address1) VALUES
('$psr', '$company', '$address1');";
What i want is,
allow the variable $company to recognize the characters mentioned above
and to be written to my DB.
Right now if the value of $company = (Claudio's problem LLC); it will not
recognize the ' on Claudio's and will not write it to my DB.
Thanks for the help
