formatting lf's and the blob

Hi.. I see in the archives that the text or blob type should retain the line feeds of the text placed in them. It isn't working that way for me. I have a text box form inputting text to a mysql 'text' field. When I select it and print it to the website, the line feeds are not there... The query/printout scripting is being called to the webpage with an include line. On the other hand; when I pull it back to the text box for editing, simply using 'print $textname' between the textarea tags, everything appears as it should... I've tried nl2br() and other formatting attempts to no avail. Is there a problem using include? Can someone say what might be going wrong? Thanks. Floyd --
