First of all thanks for asking this question because I was in need of building PDFs and lo and
behold FPDF works great so far!

I haven't messed around with this package at all yet (I am currently going through the
tutorials) but what I notice is that your quotes are messed up (I think).
Notice that in the first example it is: ,0,1,'C');
Your example is: 0,0 . ',C');
I think it should be: 0,0,'C');
So I would write your line as:
$pdf->Cell(40,10,"CV de $full_name ",0,0,'C');
HTH,
Chris.
