Unlimited Depth File Indexing

Hi, I want to create a file indexing program and can't seem to figure out how to do this -> DirA, I want PHP to index all the files in it, go into subdirs if any, index all files of that, so on keep on going unltil reached. What I can't figure out is how to come back once finished with the 1st level heirarchy then into another, like that, anyone done something like this.
