I annot comment on MySql since I am new to PHP and I have never ued it.
However, I have used Interbase since the 1980's with one of my projects
being the real-time processing of 800 telephone calls for MCI. With a
database of 500,000 on servers joined by a WAN in three diiferent
States, I was averagaing 40 msec. That was running on 75 MHz SCO boxes
and I never lost one record - even with some bad power out crashes.
So, I am sold on the small foot print and the low maintence. Now, do
understand that MySql may have all of these features too.
