You got answered all your questions already, One thing I can add is that using php is actually very cool from this point of view: It is kinda mendokusai (pain in the ass in Japanese) to write meta tags for each page each time. So here's the solution: you can have a database handling every meta like: title, key, descr, etc... and page you could then basing on the page requested ($SCRIPT_NAME) generate meta tags automatically, so they will appear on regular pages right from DB. You can then smartly limit them, modify on fly.. you can do many many many things... PHP and MySQL are very useful for this. think about having a small Meat-Admin on your page, check your counter from time to time, and improve, improve and improve ... this is a real way to get many hits. You can manipulate these whatever amount of pages with few clicks. You can also split the pages by sections, target them ... That what I do when I get to build a new website - everything , especially meta-tags are from database. Q0: Search engines will always see the final result (generated HTML) and never sees the PHP scripts behind it. True? Q1: I've heard that pages containing ? and/or & will *not* be indexed by search engines. E.g. http://www.mydomain.com/test/test.php?a=1&b=2& Is this true? Q2: I also heard that if you changed ? and & by / the pages will be indexed! E.g. http://www.mydomain.com/test/test.php/a=1/b=2/ Will this work? Q3: Anybody with some experience about generating meta tags? Thanks again!
