right there in the manual compare the PHP version the function was
introduced and what your phpinfo() says.
Apparently you are running on a more recent version and should therefore
upgrade in order to use the mssql_connect().

Hi,
I would like to use PHP to connect to SQL Server. I went through the manual
and tried to use the mssql_connect() function. But its reporting a fatal
error : Call to undefined function.
What should i do ?
And one more thing is my php.ini has php_mssql.dll in the windows extensions
part. But i do not have any such file in my machine. I have a file called
php_mysql70.dll.
Will this be the cause of the error ?
