I wonder if someone could help me out with a problem I'm having making PHP work with DB2. We're calling odbc_connect() with the login username and password, and with the DSN name set to the "connection port for DB2 instance". The problem I'm having is that, in addition to an error message, I get garbage characters with the error message. Honestly, I wouldn't swear that the parameters being correct -- but the errors generating garbage characters indicate to me that something else is very wrong here. For example:
Warning: SQL error: , SQL state ¯ cludxèÿ¿Ë / includ in SQLConnect in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/db2.php on line 3
Configuration info:
-DB2 on the same machine.
-RedHat Linux 6.0
-PHP 4.0.3pl1 and 3.0.12
-Apache 1.3.9
-DB2 Personal Edition version 7.1
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!!
John
