Follow the instructions for Perl, except where they show:
#!/path/to/perl
as the first line, and perl code in the programs you do:
#!/path/to/php
as the first line, and use php code in the files.
That first line controls what 'shell' executes the scrip. If they are
actually using it as it should be used, just substituting the path to php
should cause your scripts to be executed by php.
