MySQL maximum row size?

Hi everyone, I am in the process of defining a database for a knowledge base application which will use the PHP/MySQL combo. No I am wondering if MySQL has a maximum row size like MS SQL does (8k, in this case I believe)? Is there any reason why one should not use blobs to store Question/Answer pairs (one blob each)?
