Just to add:
you would have less problems if you would use PHPLIB
with $db->Num; you would get the number and then $db->query($SQL) pulls the
staff out...
another easy way could be :
make a class:
inside it pull the data out and register it to an array, then count array's
size and assign another variable to it, then print your $count, and do
while($staff)

Hi;
The user selects criteria from a MySQL relational database. I create a page
on the fly with a table for each qualified selection. I have a counter that
increments after each table is created. I would like to use the final count
at the *beginning* of the page: before the program starts writing the
tables. How do I do that?
